I've been using the Xfinity Stream app on a Roku Ultra recently and noticed to my consternation that the audio is limited to PCM 2.0. This surprised me since most streaming services are using DD+. Comcast is delivering the same programming via QAM in Dolby Digital 2.0 or 5.1.
Does this same restriction exist for on-demand streaming on the X1 or is it limited to the Xfinity Stream app on "partner devices"? And will the audio format be upgraded when the app emerges from its current beta status?
