XG1v4 output to Dolby Atmos

I have the XG1v4, but haven't been able to get Dolby Atmos to output from it.  I have corresponded with Comcast tech support, who confirmed, in writing, that Atmos (or the required Dolby Digital+ output) is not currently supported by Comcast.

Is there an update coming out this week to enable it?  Also, will this be in HDR10 or HLG?

Re: XG1v4 output to Dolby Atmos

That's funny as they list Dolby Atmos on their requirements for streaming the Olympics in 4K.

I've not seen anything beyond Dolby Digital 5.1 and Expert in the XG1v4 settings.  Have you tried Expert?  Even then I don't see that there is any existing content to test.  Is Atmos offered up in the Netflix app?

Re: XG1v4 output to Dolby Atmos

Hi MackGuyver, were you successful in outputting Atmos from your X1 box?

Re: XG1v4 output to Dolby Atmos

I have had success getting the Atmos output. It seems to be only on the 4K Olympics on-demand of certain events.  Also, I had to have the Audio Output set to Expert mode.

You're correct.  As of right now, the only content available on X1 in Atmos is the 4k Olympics content On Demand.
