Live TV and DVR Recordings Are Freezing and/or Dropping Audio

Daily, the TV will freeze or the audio will drop for 30-60 seconds. 2-4 times a week, the TV will freeze and we have to reboot to clear it. This is not acceptable. What actions need to be taken to fix the problem permanently?

Assuming you have thoroughly checked all connections, have Comcast send a tech out. This is almost always a poor signal or bad connection issue which could be inside or outside of your home.

If the picture is freezing on recording playback the DVR could be failing. If you have a Comcast tech replace it the tech will most likely give your signal levels a complete checkup.
