Is there any way to access TV's menu with X1 Remote?

Is there any way to access TV's menu with X1 Remote?

Prior to upgrading to X1 this week, I was able to select the transparent "TV" button that lit up red when you pressed it, and then I could press menu, and the tv menu would come up instead of the Xfinity menu. This was very convenient because it allowed me to set my TV's sleep timer using the Xfinity remote, instead of having to have yet another remote laying around (truthfully, I don't even know where my original tv remote is).

My question is if there is anyway to get my new X1 remote to do the same function? I just need it to be able to turn the TV off, don't need the cable box to turn off or go to sleep or power save mode. Or is the X1 remote's control over the TV strictly limited to powering on and off, and volume?

Conflicting info?

If you want to just turn the TV on/off/vol then just go through the normal programming steps.

You guys should hire a new remote design guy.  How could you not have a TV function? I want to set a sleep timer--can't do it.  I want access Netflix thru my smart TV-- can't do it.

You made the x1 remote obsolete, I had to purchase a universal remote.

X1 provides access to turn on the TV adjust TV volume level or to adjust volume level of most sound amplifiers. Comcast is not trying to provide a universal remote (with capabilities that you described). Note that Netfilx is available with your X1 entertainment system's Netflix app that does use the X1 remote.
