The fan on my DVR (XG1-P/PX013ANM) keeps getting louder and louder. When I first received it, the noise was there but acceptable. It seemed to get louder each day. It is now pretty unbearable.
According to other posts on this board, the problem can be fixed with obtaining a newer model DVR. I've only been with Xfinity for a few months. It seems that I was given an older model DVR.
Can you please advise me and help me obtain a newer and quieter model DVR?

Can there be an arrangement for the latest DVR model to be mailed out to my residence? My local Xfinity store only stocks the DVR that I currently own.
I called 1800comcast and requested that my old X1 box be replaced with the 4k DVR; it cost me $39.99 but the tech found several issues with my other equipment and replaced my XG1 with the new solid-state XiD which is smaller and uses less power (which also applies to the 4K DVR's I have).
