DVR stuttering when playing back on one tv

DVR stuttering when playing back on one tv

I just installed a new tv and added a connector to the coax coming out of the wall. This cable had not previously been used.

The signal, picture etc is fine for live TV, but when I try to play back recodings, they stutter, ie stop and start so much that they are unwatchable. The replay is fine on my other two tvs.

Any ideas on what could be causing this problem? Could it be the HDMI cable from the cable box to the TV? A bad connection? But if so why is live TV perfect?

Help!

Turns out that it was a bad connection. Simple.

I had this exact problem. Traded in for new box, same problem, so switched for new coaxial and dvr is now fine. It might be loose or coaxial bad

sounds like a splitter is in place that does not work with your MoCA signals used between set top boxes.

The Comcast email address that you logged into the forums with has no equipment attached/listed. If you PM me with your account information I can take a look

No splitters are involved, so I am afraid that doesn't apply. Thanks anyway.

Unfortunately coax was buried in wall when house built, so I hope it is not that.

You mean an HDMI splitter?

Which box is it? Everything that can be looked at remotely, looks solid.

Sorry fpr the delay. The box going to the Tv is Model number PR150BNM. Is that the culprit?
