One thing to watch out for when the Gunsmoke episode is broken into two 1/2 hour segments. The early years were 1/2 hour and later years were 1 hour. But some and I'm not sure who did it were 1 hour segments broken into 2 -1/2 hour segments and basically had the same title. So when I saw this I selected each 1/2 hour segment individually and told the DVR to record each segment. But when I went to watch there was only 1 (the first) segment recorded. and so I never found out how the whole episode ended. I don't know why it didn't record the second episode but my best guess is that the DVR saw the second half as a duplicate of the first half and just didn't record it. I have no other explanation.
