DEFEAT/TURN OFF - CEC XG1V4

Can I defeat/turn off CEC comletely in the XG1V4? I've a Darbee 5100CIE and I believe that CEC on the XG1V4 might be giving me issues. I use TiVo also and the TiVo Mini doesn't do CEC at all, it works as expected for my display. The XG1V4 and also my Roku both intermitently force the Samsung 'information bar' showing HDMI & resolution. I bought a CEC-LESS (pin 13 missing) and that seemed not to help. There's a EDID issue of some sort giving me fits. I have a 5000S Darbee and it does as expected!

The XG1V4, the TiVo Mini and the Roku Ultra are all HDMI -IN to a Yamaha AVR and the single HDMI - OUT to the 5100CIE. AVR seems to confirm 1080P or I 'in/out' dependent upon device.

at one time there was a CEC on/off on the Comcast Labs menu, but has been gone for many months.

@wvzr1

Welcome to the Xfinity Forum and thank you for posting your questions here. I did have our engineers verify that this doesn't seem to be CEC related issue as CEC is disabled on your device.

We would like to verify if this could be a TV setting issue.

To confirm this, can you please provide the following details:
1) A snapshot of the issue observed Samsung 'information bar' showing HDMI & resolution  .
2) The exact time of the issue observance
3) The date of when you first starting observing this in the setup
4) Verify if there have been any other changes to your setup

Thank you in advance for your assistance. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Re: DEFEAT/TURN OFF - CEC XG1V4

I've ordered some cables to try different configuration.

You confirmed 'how' that CEC isn't active on my XG1V4?

I'll do a snapshot after a couple more configuration attempts.

I appreciate the response!
