i started writing an organized user experience note to comcast/xfinity regarding their cable interface and website design, got too long and frustrating. so i will say this:
why is your cable experience stuck in 1985 and your website experience stuck in 2002?
your complete disregard for my experience will never be outdone by the millions you spend marketing your brand [on your own network] trying to convince me otherwise.
suggestion: take 10% of your marketing budget and spend it making your product better. hire one art director and three user experience guys, give them some title and let some good things happen. the stagnation and mediocraty is exhausting yet so fixable.
Many of the things about Comcast are fixable.
A number of things they allow to continue aren't cost effective.
Why should they change though.
The subscriber base is constantly increasing, and their making record profits.
What their doing works, (for them).
