Re: watch live tv

We recently added ESPN live streaming to xfinitytv.com, so you can watch ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, and ESPNU live on your computer.  You'll see the links to each stream half way down the home page:

Keep checking back as we hope to add more live streaming content in the coming months.

Also, currently in trial markets is AnyPlay, which enables live TV on a variety of Internet-enabled displays in the home. You can find out more about it here:

Re: watch live tv

No.  The only way is to add a video capture card to the PC and connect it to an existing cable box.

You can add a Slingbox to your cable box or DVR to stream inside and outside the home.

If your on a system that still has the limited basic channels in clearQAM, you can add a clearQAM TV tuner, but this arrangement will not last forever as Comcast starts to encrypt the limted basic channels.

There are 3 brands of cable card PC tuners that once you add a Comcast supplied cable card, you can watch TV on your PC.  These are made by Hauppauge, Silicon Dust and Ceton.  They are not cheap.

Basically these four options all need 3rd party hardware to make it work.  There is no IP streaming of live TV from your Comcast service for a PC at this time.
