tv not recognising cable box

Help!   I was watching a DVD last night and now I can't get my cable back on!  The box looks like it's working and the tv is on.  But nothing!  The other tv's in the house work.  This is the only Hi Def TV.

Re: tv not recognising cable box

Maybe you switched the TV to a different input to watch the DVD? If so you need to switch it back. If you don't know which input your cable service is connected to, you need to try all the TV set's inputs until you find the cable signal. If you have an HD cable box, it is probably hooked up to one of the TV's HDMI inputs, or maybe a Component input. If you have a standard def box, it could be hooked up to a Line input, or it may be on channel 3. If you don't know how to select these inputs, please post your TV and cable box model numbers, and someone will try to help. If you are located anywhere along the East Coast, your cable service may be out until Comcast gets around to fixing it.
