recover deleted shows

My DVR was nearly full and I will be out of town when a number of other shows are scheduled to be recorded, so I deleted the shows that were currently filling up the DVR. I planned to recover them later. Now they are all permanently deleted. I only permanently deleted shows that I recovered and watched. Many of the shows that are now lost are not available OnDemand. Is there a way for me to recover these shows?

Re: recover deleted shows

If you deleted a program from the "recently deleted" folder its gone for good...

Re: recover deleted shows

I didn't delete the shows from "recently deleted." They just disappeared! I was storing them there for recovery later because my DVR was showing limited space and I was going to be out of town. Some of the shows are not avalable OnDemand.

Re: recover deleted shows

They automatically disappear from "recently deleted" after a day or two.

I don't know if the issue can be fixed and will be shocked if the recordings are recovered. And wouldn't it be nice to feel like someone at Comcast takes this seriously?

I signed on to tell you you're not alone! A brand new (replacement) DVR was installed a couple of wks ago & all recordings transferred intact. Last night -with no action on my part, I realized that approximately 35-40% of my recordings were nowhere to be found. They disappeared from the list.

It's clear that the priorities at Comcast are focused on selling.  If highly skilled technical staff even exists at Comcast, those skills are underutilized & not valued by management who has no reason to change as long as we continue paying our bills.

It's also not lost on me that compared to millions who are facing catastrophic loss, how much should TV matter in our lives?

What was supposed to matter however, is the service we were told Comcast would deliver when we signed up as customers in the first place.

Good luck with that.

recordings are made simultaneously by both the home DVR and the cloud DVR. the home DVR was 'gone' so you saw the cloud DVR recordings (limited to latest 60 hours). As new recordings came in they were on the DVR and also copied onto the cloud DVR and the new recording bumps off the oldest cloud recording. As time goes on, and you make more recordings the oldest shows continue to drop off the cloud DVR (keeping space for the latest 60 hours). Why did you have to swap out your non-empty DVR?

Ditto on the frustration!  60 hours?  Really?  Can we buy more space on YOUR Cloud like Apple, Verizon and Adobe.  Come on Comcast!  Technology is supposed to make our lives easier.

I'm renting 3 X1 DVR's for additional space.
