motorola cable box fades on & off... no service

my cable box fades on (blue power light comes on, along with other colored lights), then just as quickly fades back off again.  It does this whether I try to turn it on or not.  I've had no real service for a couple of days.  I've tried disconnecting from power, and than plugging the box back in, but no luck.  Anyone ever experience this?

Sounds like your box is failing, swap it out.
