iPhone X1 Remote App Won't Logon

I have tried everything to get the X1 Remote app to work on my iPhone 5s. I have now changed my username and password several times. I have removed and reinstalled the app. I have hard,rebooted the iPhone. My username and password easily gets me into my account from my laptop. Even the Xfinity Connect app on the iPhone lets me login. So, I launch the X1 app on the,iPhone I get the following: "Error. Please enter a valid Comcast ID or email and password". I've tried using my Comcast email as well. Same message. Please, please help - or is the app non-functional?

I have the same issue with and iphone 4 running ios 7.1.2 -  There is an iphone 5 in this house that connects with no problem the 1st time it was installed, but not this iphone 4.  It just reads: Error  Please enter a valid Comcast ID or email and password.
