I used to have DirecTV and the guide and remote were a lot easier to use and set up and search your favorites. I agree with BPress54 comments.

You guys should take a hard look at the DirecTV guide and program info. It's much more user friendly and doesn't require constant resetting to keep user seleted options. For example, with DTV when I set my guide up for favorite channels only, it stays that way even if I turn the box off;  I don't have to push the guide button twice to get the favs to show up. The info option on your guide is sorely lacking, it doesn't provide much beyond what the initial description gives. DTV info tells you the names of the actors in the program or movie, what year it was made, whether it's new or a repeat, and sometimes even gives the names of the directors and writers. It's much more comprehensive. TVphiles such as myself would appreciate it much more.
