The android apps for History Channel and Hallmark Channel (& perhaps others) won't fully work because Xfinity/Comcast isn't listed as a participating provider. The list of participating providers is VERY LONG including some tiny little providers in the middle of nowhere, but Xfinity isn't one of them. Why is that...?
After doing some additional checking it also appears that you cannot recieve live streaming from the "Watch ABC" app for android. How is that that one of the largest cable providers on the planet cannot provide this content...? Would anyone like to answer...???
Good question. Same is true for FireTV and the description on Amazon even includes Comcast as a potential provider, but when I try to activate they are not in the list:
> The HISTORY app is free to use. Comcast, DIRECTV and other cable subscribers can login and get access to even more content. More TV providers are coming very soon!
I understand they are the last remaining holdout for supporting HBOGo app on FireTV as well. Great way for one of the largest (richest) providers on the planet to put their customers first.
