Started asking for a newer version of FLash today. Of course I updated. Will not work in ANY browser. Will work on my iPhone.
I cannot understand why you are building your future on Flash while the rest of the world is abandoning it.
How do we get this to work again?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Flash. No change.
So, three browswers. Let's try other computers....
Works on a 32 bit laptop and does not even ask for newer Flash.
Windows 10 64boit computer gets to adding device and asks for latest flash, even after it has been updated.
So, two of three computers fail.
Tried the old foix of hardware acceleration on or off and no change. Booted browsers with no add-ons enabled (safe mode) and no change/ Something changes on YOUR side Sunday as this worked for months before that on all browsers and all compters. Definitelty a 64 bit issue.
Stilll down. No Comcast folks with things to try?
Sorry, so many threads on this issue already...
Some things to try:
Hope these help. Please review other similar threads on this forum for tips from users who have resolved.
Somehow, Edge and IE 32 started working tonight again. But no 64 bit works on my 64 bit Win 7 machine and did for quite awhile before failing the other day (Sunday). My Win 7 32 bit and Win 10 64bit work. On the Win 7 64 Firefox 64, Firefox portable and Waterfox all fail. Appreciate the pointer on cache vs cookie, but no change.
I did search and could not find many threads on this. Pointers woul dbe appreciated. I did note that the two browsers that started working toninght asked me to name the device they started on. Could the one device that is not working have a device name issue? How can I rename that one if I cannot get in?
I would not like to change my set top box names - they work. And two of the three computers and iPad and IPhone all work fine Just that one that fails.
One more clue: The computer that fails and goes to need new flash fails on this address:
Could it mean this device listing is corrupt?
If you message me with a list of my devices I can tell you which this is.
Now working on my main (Firefox 64bit) browser on main computer. I did not do anything to change, so Comcast musthave.
Still will not work on portable browsers.
So works on 6 out of 8 browsers where a;ll had stopped working.
