X1 TV "readability" ?

TV viewing with X1 - Selecting "Enhanced Text Readability" seems to make little difference. It is still difficult (without a large-screen TV) to read channel icons on left, Info, etc.  Several friends are having the same problem ... anyone else notice this?

most complaints have stopped with exception of the info button text being too small. Have you used a netflix or youtube test pattern to check the sharpness and brightness/contrast settings? do captions look clear?
