Why is my 4k TV showing 720p instead of 1080 resolution

I recently purchased a LED - 2160 Smart 4K Ultra HD TV; however, the channel information shows 720 p.  How do I change the resolution?

Re: Why is my 4k TV showing 720p instead of 1080 resolution

Comcast has changed all previous 1080i channels to 720p in MPEG 4. The only exceptions are local 1080i channels left in MPEG 2.

If you want to watch any 4K programing for free, use the You Tube app found on your 4k television (use the tv's remote). I am assuming you have high-speed broad-band Internet.
