Video Playback not working

Everytime I've tried to play a video from xfinitytv, it loads up a message saying I need to install Microsoft Silverlight in order to watch it. I have Silverlight installed, but I uninstalled it and reinstalled in restarted my browser, and computer, and had the same issue. I've tried it 3 times in both Chrome and Safari. I'm getting very frustrated. Here's my specs, hopefully someone can help me.

Completely uninstall Silverlight from your computer. Then download and install Silverlight from the link below:

 

Mac users 

 

Follow all the on-screen instructions and then try playing videos again. Let me know the results.
