Tiling, intermittent sound slurring and white data light flashing on cable box

Metronet was digging in the back yards in my subdivision including mine several weeks ago.  Since that time my cable picture has been tiling, the sound will have intermittent loss of sound or sound slurring and now the white data light on my cable box is flashing.  I am wondering if they may have damaged something or is it xfinity?  When it starts the tiling you can barely watch television.  It does matter if you are on hd or regular tv.  I need help!  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

It is certainly possible.

I would call Comcast. They can check the current signals coming to your box and let you know if a tech. should be sent out.

Have you checked your connections inside too make sure a cable is not loose?
