Sports remote app not extending recordings on X1

Since I updated to X1 box, the sports remote app no longer automatically extends recordings by 30 mins as intended.

Also notice it has been recording on SD channel variants sometimes vs. HD which is frustrating.

Lastly will updates for bug fixes etc. (say if leagues realign in NCAA or when Comcast channel lineup changes) still be made now that the app is no longer available?

Will this functionality be migrated to a other app? Otherwise, why discontinue it as this app is great for sports fans...
