I've been a comcast customer for 7-8 years using a cable card and 3rd party DVR with no problems. About 2 months ago most of my HD channels quit working. Specifically, these channels pull up a black screen with the words "Retrieving music information..." and a spinning cursor (dots spinning in circle). The audio works fine but not picture comes up. Strangely, the network HD channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) all work fine as do ESPN and ESPN2.
All this started happening when Comcast made a change to our bill. A technician has been to the house and added an amplifier, and I replaced the old cablecard with a new one, but no progress. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.
Is your device MPEG 4 compatible?
Andrew, thanks for the reply. I'm not sure about MPEG-4 compatibility but will check. Does that imply comcast has changed/upgraded some of their signals but not all since some of my HD channels work fine?
