Second x1 won’t connect

Swapped out my second X one box for a new one today because the old one didn’t have Netflix direct connect My old box looked very much like the primary box except for it didn’t have the time function on it and I couldn’t record.The new box they gave me is tiny,and I keep getting a message they’re unable to connect the box. RDK 03036. I’ve put my primary box on this connection and it works fine so I know it’s not an issue with the signal please help

It means that little box can’t communicate with the dvr. The previous box really didn’t have to. Can you give any details on wiring, amp, splitters etc?
