Remote

I can’t get the new remote to turn on my audio system, it does control the volume.

it also won’t turn off the cable box. Any suggestions?

you might try the other codes or do a code search with the remote to find a code that will turn on the audio system. set top box is designed to stay on.

I tried all codes listed, I don’t know how to search for more codes.

The cable box makes a loud noise in the morning I thought turning it off would stop that.

I had that issue because I didn't follow the on-screen directions step-by-step.
