In the Detroit area we get 2 PBS stations on Comcast cable. Detroit PublicTV WTVS Channel 6 or 240
and Flint WCMU/WCMZ Channel 24 or 238 . They both have great PBS programming and not duplicated on either channel.
On Monday April 23, WCMZ TV (Flint) will cease broadcasting because they sold their license to the FCC (see this link) http://www.wcmu.org/Flint/index.php
I was wondering if Comcast, in the Detroit area will replace WCMZ PBS with the Toledo station WGTE or the Lansing station WKAR to makeup for this loss of great PBS programming. Thank-you for reading.
WCMU Public Television is only dropping the Flint over-the-air broadcast channel 28 on WCMZ. It will continue to broadcast over-the-air on WCML Channel 6 Alpena, WCMV Channel 27 Cadillac, WCMW Channel 21 Manistee, and WCMU Channel 14 Mount Pleasant. Hopefully, Comcast/Xfinity will pick up one of these channels so that wonderful, unique WCMU programs like "Destination Michigan" will continue to be broadcast through Comcast Detroit area.

Why not replace WCMZ with WCMU. It's the same programming and some different shows than WKAR
and WTVS.
