Making Sense of Xfinity 4K Equipment options

I currently have the following equipment:

- X1 XG1v3 DVR

- X1 companion box

I recently purchased two 4K TVs. My local Xfinity store swapped my DVR to a XG1v4, but they didn't know what to do for my X1 companion box, since they only carry those XG1v4 boxes for 4k support.

One of my 4k TVs is on the new XG1v4 box, but I don't have a clear answer from Comcast on what to do for my second 4K TV.

Any advice?

Re: Making Sense of Xfinity 4K Equipment options

There isn’t another 4K offering yet. The 4K dvr is it. The other equipment is compatible with your tv’s, there just won’t be any access to 4K content. If it’s a necessity, you would need a second dvr (and absorb the price difference between that and what you have now)
