I am stuck in Welcome to the X1 Platform, can hear the T.V. can't watch it.

Seen many people ask this question with no answer. I can hear my T.V., but it just stays on  WELCOME TO THE X1 PLATFORM Connecting to your entertainment experience. How does this get fixed?
