EXTREMELY Disappointing

Was a DirecTV customer from 2001 to 2017... but got tired of losing service every time it rained.  So I switched to Comcast.  Extremely disappointing.  It's like going back in time.  It was bad enough when most of the movie channels I/we watch would only take up half the screen (and YES I have my settings on Zoom: FULL and Resolution: 1080p60) but when baseball season started today and half of the baseball games had those same black lines across the top and bottom that was the LAST STRAW.  We'll be moving on very disappointed. 

Buy my question is why is it now almost 20% through 21st Century and the best they can do is a significant number of channels only take up half the screen?  Makes you feel like purchasing the 50 inch TV was waste with all of that black space on it.
