ESPN Channels Disappearing / Reappearing

Hello,

 

Yesterday the two ESPN channels (ESPN and ESPN2) disappeared and were out for awhile. Due to this issue, I missed most of a sporting event I was wanting to watch. I talked to someone on chat last night about the issue, and we did some troubleshooting, but nothing worked. So we scheduled a tech to come out today. But right after I exited chat, the channels were back on, so I got back on chat and canceled the tech visit. Now this morning, the channels were gone once again. This time, I simply unplugged the cable box and plugged it back in, and a few minutes later, the channels reappeared. So all is good for now.

 

Just curious what causes certain channels to disappear and reappear like this. Any explanation?

JS-, there might be an entitlement issue going on here. Basically, there is a disconnect between what services you are supposed to get (ESPN) and what you can actually view on your box. I'd like to reset your entitlements to see if this corrects our issue. Let me know when I can send the appropriate signal to your cable box. It may cause temporary loss of service.

Channels are working properly as of now. If this happens again, I'll certainly reach out to you. And I have Digital Starter with 140+ channels, by the way.
