DVR does not record final minutes of some programs

I'm not sure if this is an XFinity DVR problem or TV scheduling issue but my DVR often does not record the final minute of a program. I think it's bothersome that I have to go to "OPTIONS" to end 3 or 5 minutes later for all scheduled recordings to insure I get the whole program recorded. It seems like a simple fix that Comcast can either adjust their clocks or add an extra 1 or 2 minutes to every DVR recording. They seem to record an extra minute early for everything and I contend that the final minute of a program is 100,000x more valuable than the 1st minute of a program.
