Closed Captions not working on HBO videos

Hello there. Is there a problem with closed captions/subtitles on Xfinity TV? Sometimes I like watch certain programs with captions on so I make sure not to miss important details. Lately, however, I have noticed that sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, no matter how many times I click and unclick and click again the "CC" button. And yes, the programs I watch do have subtitles available, I'm not crazy. I have tested this problem on programs that I have already watched. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

What videos are you watching where the CC button is not working? I would like to further test this.

Hi there, thanks for answering. Well, basically anything that I have tried to watch. In my case, it happened with several HBO movies and series (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, etc.) I watch. However, I asked a friend and he told me he had experienced the same thing with other networks as well. The same thing happened last week except that they began working again by last Saturday or so. Last night, the problem returned.

The same thing is happening to me - streaming HBO Boardwalk Empire,  and the closed captions aren't working.  Margaret

Problems with closed captioning when is available

We have problems with closed captioning in some of the movies and tv shows. i.e. The Wire

 

We Select the video to watch on XfinityTV.com  closed captioning is available, a message appear in the bottom right position of the video screen when the video begins playback:

We Selec the CC icon  enables closed captions,  but there is no captions and subtitles on the screen. 

 

In some videos it works doing the same.

This issue is resolved?  I don't think so.  I still couldn't get CC.  I am so fed up with Comcast not

aligning the cc with programs that have it, I just cancelled my cable.  Incredibly bad service for those of us who need or want CC.
