Cable box to receiver issue

I’m having an issue with my X1 box to my RCA receiver. It has been working for a month and today began sporadically losing the signal. It shows up for a few seconds and then loses signal again. I’ve used several different HDMI cables, ensured the coax cables are tight and even bypassed the receiver to ensure it isn’t an HDMI, cable box or television issue. I’m certain all of my connections to the receiver were right as it was functioning properly before. Looking for any suggestions or recommendations.

does the audio (sound) continue when you lose your signal? does the screen give an error message/number?
