Blinking data light, Cable box frozen

My cable box froze up all of a sudden, showing the "channel will be available shortly" and wouldn't shut off. After unplugging the power cord to reset it, it now shows a "mode not supported" message on my tv and the data light is blinking on the box. Reset signals wouldn't go through.
