I’m receiving the ASTB needs to download new software message which I assume means my cable box is dead. Can I bring it in to a service center to replace it or do I need to have someone come out?
Is the box working? If yes, allow it to d/l the update.... no need to replace as updating software is a recurring event.
The box had been unplugged for a very long time (longer than a year). I plugged it in and let it sit all day - the screen never changed so I'm assuming it isn't actually doing anything.
