I'm getting the same error, and yes, I am using the play now.
I also checked how many activated devices I am using as suggested in another thread. I'm only using 2 out of my 3 allowed at the moment.
Still not sure why it gives me the 4001 error every time I try to play a show.
There was an issue on our end last night but this issue should now be resolved. Please let me know if you are still having this problem.

What device are you using?
What are you trying to watch?
Are you on a home or public Wi-Fi?
Are you using the most up to date version of the app?
