Xfinity stream Missing channels

Xfinity stream Missing channels

Local stations and others i.e. Nbc, cbs, abc and fox disappeared from xfinity stream app guide. Therefore scheduled shows are not available on my xfinity stream app (using an iPad or iPhone or Roku). Of course, I also can not stream these stations live. When I called Comcast they acted like they never heard of this issue and they tried numerous troubleshooting including suggested background data base refresh.  They said they see the channels on my TVs but they are missing from the streaming.  I have called on numerous occasions and still not resolved. From reviewing this forum it is obvious that this has happened to many others over a long period to time. Can anyone tell me how they solved this issue.

PS my xfinity stream app was working fine until about 2 weeks ago.

first try pressing the A button on the remote and select and perform the System Refresh. fixed?

I tried pressing A and did system refresh.  I deleted app again and reinstalled it again and still the same issue.

This is nothing new, I can't get half the stations, says something like only available on your home network. I call customer service everytime I travel and have these issuues. They say they have no idea why, can't give me any answers, tell me to delete, and redownload the app, never helps, say they are rebooting the system, still no help.

 

I can't watch half the chammels I pay for, it is the worlds worst app

Shows/movies flagged as "In-Home" can only be watched while connected to your comcast network connection.

Still no solution☹️  Is amazing that they act like this has never happened before and we are talking in circles and accomplishing nothing.

are you missing the same channels on all of your streaming devices while in the home connected to your home internet? (phone or tablet, or desk/laptop)

please call 800-Comcast and select billing. ask the agent to do a deep background account refresh (can take up to an hour to complete).

Nope.  Today I had a Comcast employee tell me it is something on their end and it should be fixed in 12 hours.  We will wait and see.

I just updated the app Sunday when I was trying to watch the superbowl on my phone and now I can't even watch msnbc.

Still not working... Havent been able to watch shows through the app for weeks xfinity really dont care when it comes to customer service

Has this been resolved for you? I have a Roku on a TV that I don't watch often but have used it today and noticed I too am missing a number of channels.

I just started with xfinity streaming, and the only channels I get are 8 Starz channels. Nothing else.

I tried customer service, and they had me do all the resets, etc. Nada.

I'm cool with the $8 a month I'm paying for this service, but it has to work and get the local channels. I don't need a DVR or movies on demand or any of that stuff, just let me watch the local channels live!

I am having the same issue.  I cannot get any of the local channels on the app and I’m at home.

are you getting other 'numbered' (linear) channels? (for example TVland). be sure it is numbered and not TVgo channels.

I only get TV2go channels and if I pick one I get an error that says A subscription is required:12012.  I have a subscription so I’m not sure what is wrong.

use the smart device xfinity my account app. are you able to log in? go to the internet tab. is a modem listed? does the serial number match the numbers on your actual modem?

Can get in.  Modem is listed and same serial number.  Weird thing is this has happened before.  I can get all the channels on my iphone, but I cannot get it on my Ipad.

go to settings on ipad (gear) and log out of the app. then uninstall it (hold finger on icon until x appears). then reinstall and log in. working now?
