Will there be one?
Comcast has not given any answer to that device.
I just got done with live chat and they said Amazon Fire TV was supported for streaming... that is beyond fustrating that Comcast's would lie about that. He already shipped a cable box which I requested not to happen. I'll never unbox it, I just wanted to be able to stream to my existing devices... Now I'm going to need to take the useless box to a Comcast store and return it / cancel my TV service. Wonderful.
So dumb. I spent an hour informing Xfinity chat on how Amazon Fire TV app activations worked and asked if they are available as a provider. Their reply was to download the Xfinity app on Fire TV instead. OK, expect that's not even available to download. So far, the most incompetent and frustrating service chat experience ever.
Hi, urkillingme - We currently don't support Xfinity Stream app on Amazon Fire TV and there is no release date. However, we do support several Amazon devices and app is available for download in Amazon Appstore for Android. I think the chat agent just misunderstood your request. If you have any questions or concerns - feel free to reach me.
Hi, Kroost - The app release is a two-sided deal between Comcast and Amazon and at this time we don't have any information about the release.
Roku has the stream app now and Since it is now a 3-4 months since the last post, will there be an app for FireTv and if so is there a release date yet?
