Roku Xfinity Error createDrmSession.-1

I have a Roku Streaming Stick + that suddenly is giving me an error message.  I open the Xfinity Stream beta app and click on the ‘Get Started” button which then creates a 6 digit code.  I go to Xfinity.com/authorize and enter the code.  The screen changes and after about 5 seconds, I get an error message that states “Unfortunately, we cannot support high speed data customers without a video subscription.”  

 

I have a triple play package (TV, Internet, and Phone) from Comcast.  What’s funny is that another Roku streaming stick works fine with the Xfinity app.  Both devices are on the same home network.  I am using a customer owned modem.  

 

I have restarted the modem, restarted the Roku stick, deleted the app, reinstalled the app and nothing is working.  

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

use the Xfinity MyAccount app and select the internet tab. select your modem. compare the 'serial number' shown to the HFC MAC address on your modem/gateway's sticker.

I checked and the serial # in the Xfinity App is the same as the HFC MAC Address on the modem.

The DRM-# error occurs when video playback fails, and is likely related to device connection to the home network. Error createDrmSession.403-102 occurs when users attempt to activate a Roku device that has previously been attached to a different Xfinity account.

I believe this DRM error is a subscription/entitlement error--I've reached out to tech ops for more troubleshooting steps!

are you at home connected to your own home wifi (not xfinity nor xfinitywifi SSID)? do you have a working X1 set top box in your home?

I got this sorted out. It seems that my username/email was being associated with my OLD xfinity acct from 2+yr ago. Support got me properly linked to my new account and all is working.

Anyone ACTUALLY figured this out??? I've been having this problem forever, talked to so many agents. Got a new modem, etc. Nothing has worked. I've had Stream about 2 years and have had problems since day 1 so I actually started really watching a few months ago. I just want to leave at this point and demand a credit or refund ...this is ridiculous.

Hi we are have the same problem.  A Comcast tech came out for three hours.  His manage insisted it is a Roku Stick problem yet Roku stick is working fine with other apps.  The tech even tested a different Roku Stick he had in his truck and received the same error. The tech even called Roku and the Roku agent insisted it was a Comcast issue.  Nothing else has changed.  Just turned on the TV a few days ago and have no Xfinity Stream with the error code createDRMsession.-1  No one from phone support can hlpe either.   Any help would be appreciated!

Hello Comcastkenf   I having been having this problem now for 5 days spoken to 14 different phone agents in india, philipinnes  colorado, CT & ME  no help all try the same so called tests and nothing.  I can not seem to PM you but will try again after  this post.  

Please help!  worked fine for 18 hours then  NOT!  it suddently switched to a different channel line up then every time I try to get back in I get that  error  creat DRmsession 402-103   18 hours on the phone even had a comcast and independent tech visit nothing.  Works on my ipad but not the roku!

I can not seem ot send ComcastKenF a private message! I am so frustated with  this issue.   The XF stream app  works on my Ipad but not the roku!  Help

I have been getting this same error message for 2 days!  Xfinity worked perfectly on my Roku before this!  I can get Xfinity to work on one Roku device, but not on the other two decides, including the Ultra!  I have spoken to Xfinity for hours and they cannot get this to work either!  HELP!!!
