SNY advertised we'd be able to stream Mets games on their site and on the NBC Sports app if we get SNY from our provider, but Comcast isn't listed on their site. I watch SNY on Comcast. Comcast owns part of SNY and owns NBC, so why can't we stream Mets games on the NBC Sports app?!
It shows the games but says the content is blocked. What is going on Comcast?
Hi nygfan11, I can assist you with watching the Mets games through your app. Have you tried using our Xfinity stream app to view the game? If you feel that you have got the subscriber message in error we can look further into your account for you to ensure that you are subscribed to NBC.
I just re-activated my NBC Sports App on Fire TV - got message saying it was successful...but only showed NBC Sports as being authorized...
I have a subscription to SNY but there are no NY Mets Games listed in Live and Upcoming...
This was working for me for a while - but after the all star game break, it stopped again. I haven't been able to stream a game in about 2 weeks now.
The error reads "We're sorry. This content is not available through your provider"
NBC, Comcast, and SNY all share common ownership - this shouldn't be difficult for you guys.
I, too put this question to customer support. I received the following reply:

Thank you for contacting us. SNY is working closely with video providers in our market to make Mets games available to subscribers on SNY.tv and the NBC Sports app. We expect to keep adding cable/satellite/telco providers to our current mix over the next few weeks. Until then, for those without the service, you can contact your provider to express your interest in having it made available.

Are they kidding?
Its 2018 now and we still cannot stream Mets games from SNY as all the other providers allow. We have to be on our home wifi. Why is this and when will this change.
Its not NBC, though they are owned by Comcast. This is clearly a conscious decision not to allow us to stream SNY Mets games out of home wifi. I have friends with Optimum and Fios and they have no issues. Comcast does not validate our access despite what we pay in monthly bills.
I have the exact same problem, since they announced it in early 2017. SNY states that Comcast Xfinity allows streaming of all Met games. Yet, once I leave my home WiFi, I can’t stream anything using the NBSSports app. It tells me I’m not authorized, and to contact my cable provider.
Why is this still an issue for so many over a year into this supposed deal to allow Xfinity customers who subscribe to the required channels (I get all the channels in the lineup)?
I’d like an answer that actually makes sense, and is informative as to why this is still going on with SNY live Met games streaming out of home.
The only reason behind all of this is because comcast is to cheap to add SNY to their menu. Another good reason for leaving and going with another service provider that provides you with what you want and not what you do not want.
Just the other night the Mets were suppose to be on WQMY TV in my area at 7:30 and here I am recording the game and finding out it's the Yankees and Astro's.. And Comcast is going to wonder why I am leaving and going elsewhere. There's your answer..Enough is Enough
