Block unwanted users from my stream app

This really ridiculous on how many times i have called and explained to an employee working for comcast that you can not block someone from watching your stream app, i im on hold for the 6th time waiting for security to fix the problem. You cant just change the password. Once the app is downloaded you no longer have to enter a password the app will automatically open if you do not log out. I am sick and tired of going on demand and seeing that some else has already watched the show that does not live in my home. I going to ask comcast for the last time to resolve the situation and block unwanted users or you 2 can split the bill. Im paying for someone else to watch tv. I font care how you fix it just fix it. And came up with the dumbest idea to still allow someone to access the password on the screen saver of the tv. What is the point of having a password if some can just come speak into the remote and retrieve the pw. It dont make no sense that you have to call 15 times for the same reason to get something resolved everytime i call. And yet im still on hold for over 30 minutes now. Smh

pirating my xstream account

a friend is still using my xstream account after i have already done the de-provision severa times with comcast over the phone. Seem like the de-provision does not work. Usernames, passwords etc has been changed with no luck.

change your Xfinity password and  wifi password and request that Comcast deprovision all the streaming devices on your account.

edit: I moved all your cross-posts to this thread

if you have changed your password for username, and wifi password and don't give it to someone, why do you believe you have someone using your streaming account?

Re: Block unwanted users from my stream app

I see show that was recently watch that I didn’t. The problem with deprovision it seems is that it says it will remove all device associate with the account. Which in fact it does but it will be only mines that get removed , and I go through the step of creating new pw, user etc. On the other hand my wife uses my same login in fact an old one. She can close the app and reopen with no problem without signing in.

DRH0958, thanks for posting about your experience. I know how important account security is for you so I'd be happy to help get those users removed from your stream app viewing. I can log out all the users and that will then allow you time to change the password and refortify your account.

Please send me a private message with your full name for help. Just click my name and then on the next page on the top right, you'll see an option to private message me.

what is making you believe someone is using your account for streaming? if you go to xfinity.com and sign in and go to account then users, are there any users listed there (secondary accounts not your account)?

Re: Block unwanted users from my stream app

Im having the same issue. I have changed passwords 5 times. Changed username twice. A comcast rep even suspended my old profile and started a new one but this person is STILL using my stream. If they have the "stay logged in" box selected, it will not prompt them to enter the new username and password.

some other posts have shown extra users were added who have access to streaming. go to xfinity.com and sign in.  go to account then to users. do you have other users listed there?

Re: Block unwanted users from my stream app

I tried that. It's nothing there. I even removed all of my devices lol! This person is watching Housewives of Atlanta as we speak! So frustrating! I have changed passwords five times. Changed username twice. Called customer service numerous times. If they have the box checked off "to stay log in", they will never be prompted to enter the new username/password and will have access to FREE cable for life.

Re: Block unwanted users from my stream app

Can someone PLEASE assist me? I have been on the phone with customer service since 7 this morning. The last rep told me that he was looking into my problem and asked to place me on hold. after 55 minutes of being put on hold, he hung up. I called back and got a rep stating it was impossible for someone to still have access to the app after changing the username and password adnd LITERALLY called me a liar. I called back twice. Those reps told me I had to speak to the security department who then told me I had to change my password again. That DOES NOT alleviate the problem. I'm at my witts end and extremely close to to cancelling Xfinity all together. Can someone help?

it is good that you have already changed your password. Call 800-Cocmast. select Cable TV technical assistance. Ask the agent to transfer you to the app support team. ask the app support team member to deprovision your streaming devices. when done, you will need to sign back in to any streaming devices with your new password.

Re: Block unwanted users from my stream app

I've done that 5 times already last week and 3 times this week. I spoke to a Tier 2 tech support rep and even the security department. A rep even deleted my profile and assigned a new one with a new user name and password, however, changing the username and password DOES NOT help. If the person has "stay logged in" checked, the app WILL NOT force them to enter the new username and password. Everyone in this forum are saying the same exact thing but no one is understanding (or cares) what we are saying. I"m not sure why we are being instructed to go this route when it is already proven not to work. There needs to be a way that you all can forcefully sign out all devices (even the devices that are selecting the box to "stay logged in"). Netflix even has this feature. I'm not sure why Xfinity doens't.  It appears this can't be solved so I'm now on the phone with Comcast cancelling my account all together and moving on with another cable/streaming provider. This is extremely frustrating and I have been on the phone with Comcast since 8 this morning.  I truly thank you for your willingness to help me thus far. You have been very kind! Have a great day.
