Motion Detector Rule Broken in Updated App

With the newest version of the XFINITY Home app, I tried to add a rule to be notified based on a motion in a motion detector. I get an error "Sorry, ran into trouble loading rules" and the try again button results in the same error.

Does it make a difference that XFINITY home took over my existing wired security system, or should that not make a difference.

Thank you for raising this issue.  It is a bug that we have fixed.  Please try again and you should be able to add the rule now.

Yep. It's working now.

Are we going to get the ability to trigger a light based on motion detector soon?

Yes we do still have plans to bring that rule into the mobile app.  We are still working on building adding this template

We have recently added the rule template where you can have your motion sensor trigger your lights.  Can you see it among the list of automation templates which you can choose from.

(edited) I just saw on another thread that the "trigger lights based on motion" rule template is about two weeks out.

I don't see any motion detector rules, despite this being an advertised feature!

Using home automation rules, you can trigger real time alerts, lighting or record video clips if any motion activity is detected in the home.
