Displaying Fictituous Voice Mail from Phone Co Message
We have had this service about two months, and this problem only started within the last two weeks. We have our own answering service and do NOT want to use the voicemail service provided by Xfinity. About two weeks ago, we started receiving the readable message "voice mail via phone company" that would normally indicate a msg is waiting. We never set that up, having our own machine we want to use. And our unit has a different message that it correctly displays asking us to push PLAY. Well, last week we talked to a rep and she manually deleted the voicemail feature in the central office, forcing our unit to respond (and it always has). Problem is, we still get the incorrect readable display, and it even sometimes flashes to indicate a msg is waiting (falsely) since we received NO calls at all, this is impossible! PLEASE tweak our settings to stop this.....our unit answers our calls...........THANKS!
