I am having the same problem. The volume on my phones are turned all the way down but I have to hold the handset away from my ear. These are the same phones that I used with Qwest and did not have a problem. I tried using different phones with the same problem.
I tried to speak to a CSR about it was was promptly told that it was a problem with my phones. He did not seem to want to listen to me try to explain my issue and continued to insist that it was my problem. He told me that he would send out a tech but when he determines that it is my problem I will get charged. It seems that I am not the only one with this problem. I just want to know if there is any way to lower the volume from the eMTA. I noticed that one of the moderators seemed to have a solution for another user. Any help is appreciated.
