ON DEMAND "Unable to Process Request" for two days already

ON DEMAND "Unable to Process Request" for two days already

When I press ON DEMAND or go to channel 1, it hangs for a while on a black screen (the soundtrack of whatever show was on still playing) and then after a minute, I get an "unable to process request" message (no error code).

Is this an area thing (I'm in Miami-Dade County, FL) ? How to fix?

I've been havnig the same problem in Houston TX.  It started three days ago.  I called Xfinity and got a very rude agent (usually, they're very nice) who swore to me that I was the only one having this problem.  I made an appointment for a tech to come out and then, two hours later, On Demand was working again so I canceled the appointment.   The next day I started getting the same error message again and I haven't been able to connect to On Demand since then.
