I was catching up on some viewing and started watching the current episode of 'Gold Rush'. I realized when it started that it was the SD version so I backed out and went ot the HD version On Demand. I was surprised to see that if I wanted to watch last week's episode of 'Gold Rush, or any of this season, I had to pay $2.99 an episode. The strange part is that if you choose 'Discovery Network' from the channels list and then go to 'Gold Rush' from there, there is no charge. It's just when you pick 'TV Shows' and then 'G-I HD' and choose 'Gold Rush'.
Mistakes are made by the person sometimes doing updating. It's hard to figure out which version was really meant; free or pay.
Always choose the free version and consider yourself lucky this time.
Hello BHP1, I understand where you are coming from, unfortunately we don't control what is listed as paid content on demand. It is up to the network (Discovery) that airs "Gold Rush" to list the past episodes free. You can always set your DVR to record the series so you never miss another episode and you can finish the season.
