Very old TV does not have HDMI port for new cable box

Xfinity instructed me that I needed a new box for one of my two TVs. The new box instuctions say to connect the new box to the TV with the enclosed HDMI cable. My old TV, (which I am not going to replace, as it is the best working TV of the two I have,) isn't even an HD, let alone an HDMI. Should I just keep using my old box, and send the new one back to them? I am afraid that the old box might be "shut down" be Xfinity and then I'd have no cable in my bedroom.

If the new box has a "coxial out", along with the normal "Coaxial in", the connect the box to your comcast cable using "Coaxial in".

Use "Coaxial out" using the current coxial cable from the old cable-box. Connect it to the television's antenna connection, and set the tv channel to channel 3.

You should find your current level of channels.
