Status Code 800

Status Code 800

My mother is an Xfinity subscriber and is having a problem with interference on her Visio TV screen.  She is receiving an Xfinity message indicating that her device receiver requires updating.  The update will complete in 20 minutes or less.  The update never happens.  The message continually shows a Total Progess of 0%.  The Status Code is 800.  Need help.

Which X1 STB does she have?  Is the TV connected directly to the X1?

 

I've never seen anyone report code 800 from the X1 system; could there be more to the code?

Robert, I made a mistake identifying the type of box that I have.  It is not an X1 box.  It is a very small black box and is about 2 to 5 years old.
