Status Code 221

I moved a working box from one TV to another and now getting Status Code 221 on the TV screen.  Is there a way for Xfinity to activate a the cable line coming out of the wall remotely?  If so, how would I go about getting that accomplished?

No, comcast cannot activate a physical connection remotely. If the box needs activated, they can do that though.

 

In addition to the status code, the light on the front of the box should also be blinking. One blink means no signal, so it's a physical conenction issue. Check all your connections and splitters.

Hi mthxfinity1, I can assist you with getting your cable box back up and running. If you switch TV's then there shouldn't be a problem getting the same cable box to work with it. Can you please send me a private message with your street address, account number, and the cable box serial number that you're having issues with?

Hi. I'm having the same issue. My tv is reading status code 221. I took my tv & the cable box out of one spare room to put into another spare room & after I plugged them in & turned them on, that is the message I had on the screen. I would rather not call Comcast. The last two times I did, I was on the phone for two hrs! Is there anyway you would be able to help me?

Hi there, I have the Status Code 221 on my screen too.  Do you need the S.N. number, or the unit # identifer in the public forum?

Have the same issue i installed a new device and tv in another room and now the code says 221 please help
