I am not an X1 subscriber and like I’ve said before, prior to last Thursday, I had been getting HD channels in my channel listing of my Roku regardless of what is on my bill. I have an HD cable card in my TiVo and have been paying for it for many years now. There have been other threads where an actual employee has chimed in and in some cases helped someone. Why has my xfinity stream beta all of a sudden dropped my HD channels?

I am also a TiVo cable card customer..... There is no $10.00 HD charge or line item on my bill.

 

We have been using this service for a few months now... The channels simply are now missing.

Rusty Ben, why was this moved? I wasn’t aware this was an X1 part of the forum and it still doesn’t answer my problem.

the employees and experts that respond in this area 'know' non-x1 and the rules etc. the employees will be specialists in the area of non-X1 as well. I will follow for their answers too.

I'm having the same problem. I get the HD channels on my phone and through my xfinity receiver but not on my roku anymore. I even got a new roku and same thing. Is it something to do with the beta trial?

do you have x1 service or tivo or legacy xfinity service?

I'm assuming x1. Don't think that has anything to do with it since everybody's hd stopped working at the same time. Assuming it was some update.

It seems to me that this is not a Roku hardware problem. Something happened with Comcast around 8/21 to cause this issue and they are not saying. I know an X1 customer with a Samsung tv that is not having this problem with the beta app. Comcast is singling out Roku owners.

i have/use 3 roku's have X1 and pay the HD technology fee on the bill. HD works fine on all of the Rokus.

everyone's HD didn't stop just a few so far and most have been TiVo or as yet unknown service.

Mine stopped working on the 22nd, the HD channels are gone on both Roku devices. Interesting the on demand content works in HD. After several wasted hours working with support the answer I'm getting is add the HD Technology fee to my bill. The service is rather expensive as it is, now I need to pay another 10 dollar fee?

Going to ditch the service once my contract is up. Luckily new technology is coming to correct the current Monopoly this company has over it's clients.

Kgiri247,

If you had HD channels before the 22nd, did Comcast say why you all of a sudden lost them?

They stopped charging me the HD technology fee 4 years ago and my HD lineup worked on their app for months.

No explanation other than I'm not subscribed to the tech fee so won't get the channels. This contradicts what I was told when I started the service and it had been working fine for 6 months. I guess I should add the HD service and see if that truly is the problem at this point.

Thank you for posting to the Xfinity Forums to make us aware of the missing HD channels on the Stream App. In order to receive HD programming, you must the codes for the HD Tech Fee. If you are subscribed, I can send a signal to refresh your entitlements, which would resolve your issue. If you have recently made changes to your packages and noticed the channels missing after the changes were made, I'd be happy to review your account to confirm whether or not you have the HD Tech Fee, and get it added if not.
